Owners and Founders
Founder of Organic Pastures, Mark is internationally recognized as an expert in raw milk safety and production. He has spoken in more than 25 states and three countries on the subject. In 2000, Mark brought together the team and systems that founded OP and then in the last 15 years grew the CA based company to include 65 employees, 24 delivery trucks, more than 600 retail stores, 18 farmers markets and 30 buyers clubs. In his past career, he taught paramedic medicine at a local County Health Department and worked for sixteen years as an EMS paramedic responding to more than 15,000 calls. Mark served on a STAR rescue team and airborne EMS services, while also serving as marketing director and operations manager for a $30 million dollar EMS company. Mark started flying at 15 and is an active clinic mission pilot for LIGA, “the flying doctors”.
Eric is the Chairman of McAfee Capital, a Silicon Valley venture capital and private equity firm that has funded more than 30 growth companies. He is the founder/Chairman/CEO of publicly held Aemetis, Inc., which owns and operates the largest biofuels facility in California and the largest US-owned biofuels facility in Asia. The aggregate value of the companies Eric has founded has high market value in excess of $4 billion. Eric is a graduate of Fresno State University, the Stanford School of Business Executive Program, and the Harvard Business School Private Equity and Venture Capital Program.
Adam McAfee, MBA/CMA
Adam founded and serves as Managing Director for Park Capital Management, a Silicon Valley-based private and public equity investment firm specializing in high-tech and renewable energy companies. He is the CEO of Nevo Energy, Inc., a publicly traded utility scale solar farm development company, and a financial executive with Aemetis, Inc., a publicly traded renewable fuels company. He has twenty-six years experience as an investment advisor and corporate financial controller. He worked in corporate finance for eleven and a half years with increasing responsibility up to the highest level of the company with technology innovator, Apple, Inc. He is a Certified Management Accountant and a Registered Investment Advisor. He graduated with an MBA from University of California, Irvine and Harvard Business School Private Equity and Venture Capital Program.
Andrew lives in Raleigh, NC, but still feels very connected to the family and farm. Andrew is active with his local North Carolina cow share program and enjoys drinking fresh, local, raw milk from a nearby farmer. He is a classically trained musician, with a Bachelor in Horn Performance from Northwestern University and a Masters in Conducting from University of North Carolina School of the Arts. He played principal horn in the North Carolina Symphony for 15 years and now teaches horn at UNC Chapel Hill, leads two part-time orchestras, the Masterworks Reading Orchestra and the Triangle Youth Ballet, and plays principal horn with the Chamber Orchestra of the Triangle and NC Opera.
Aaron McAfee, MBA
Aaron is the son of Mark McAfee, and is a founding employee. He has performed every job function in the company, including: farming, milking and dairy husbandry, creamery/processing, and sales. He is currently serving as Operations Manager (COO) and oversees: the Farm, Dairy, Creamery, Maintenance, and Marketing Departments. Aaron holds a Bachelors of Science in Agricultural Business and a Masters in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno- Craig School of Business. Aaron is fluent in Spanish. He enjoys spending time with his wife and three children, doing outdoor activities, sports, flying, traveling, and teaching his children about the farmland, first-hand. Aaron leads his team through example and hands on training. His team respects his leadership and friendship. He never misses a wedding, important celebration or well-deserved handshake with his employees.
Kaleigh is the daughter of Mark McAfee, and is a founding employee. She has performed many job functions in the company, including: milking and dairy husbandry, creamery/processing, accounting, marketing and sales. She is currently serving as Marketing Manager and oversees: all products, promotions, branding, graphic and design, sales and farmer's market management, communications, and marketing research. Kaleigh holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from California State University, Fresno- Craig School of Business. She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children, doing outdoor activities, cooking, traveling, guest lecturing, staying healthy and active, teaching her children about the farmland, first-hand- raising her family right on the farm (along side the cows, parents, and business).

Controller and Human Resources
Maegan has been with Organic Pastures since 2004. Maegan is a trusted and critical member of the Management Team. Currently, Maegan directs: Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, bank reporting and relations, treasury functions, financial and tax reporting, liability & insurance risk reduction management, employee safety department, governance, and Human Resources. Meagan is also an IT resource and has implemented advanced computer based systems across the company. Maegan holds her Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from California State University, Fresno. Maegan enjoys spending time with her two children and husband as well as participation in fitness and social functions with friends and family.
Blaine McAfee, MSN
Founder, Herd Health MANAGER
Blaine works side by side with her husband Mark, and children Aaron McAfee and Kaleigh Lutz to bring the best raw milk products to our consumers. Blaine holds her Bachelors of Science degree in Nursing and Masters of Science degree as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and Nurse Educator from California State University, Fresno. Blaine worked as a labor and delivery nurse for 23 years and taught nursing school at Fresno City College. In 2012, Blaine retired from nursing and teaching to focus her full attention to OP as the Herd Health Manager. As the Herd Health Manager, Blaine is passionate about caring for our animals. She developed our organic treatment protocols, and works closely with our Herdsman, Quality Assurance Supervisor, Veterinarian, and nutritionist to maintain optimal herd health.
Marcy has been a part of the Organic Pastures team since late 2009. She holds a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration with an emphasis in Marketing from California State University, Fresno- Craig School of Business. As the Account Manager, Marcy manages all stores accounts and helps them sell raw milk successfully in their stores. Marcy manages product pricing and specialty sales throughout the year. She also manages all marketing events, demos, and sampling promotions. Additionally, she handles all PR and news articles for OP. Marcy is energetic, organized, and always has a smile on her face.
Teo has been the Dairy Manager since he started in February 2007. Prior to working for Organic Pastures, Teo had worked in the dairy industry for 13 years. He has worked on dairies all over the Central Valley doing everything from milking cows, hoof trimming, feeding, vaccinations, calf care, husbandry, and even the occasional surgery. With Organic Pastures, Teo is responsible for the entire process from feeding the cows and pasture management, all the way until the transport trailer arrives at the creamery. He manages 14 employees, as well as the entire herd of about 1,000 cows and calves. Teo serves as the Dairy Representative on the RAMP Primary Team, as well as working closely with the Creamery and Maintenance Managers to ensure everything runs smoothly. To ensure the dairy is running efficiently and producing high quality milk from healthy cows, Teo completes a daily checklist that verifies everything from clean water troughs to cold milk. He works closely with Tony Sanchez to lead the Milkers and their goal of safe and clean milk. He also directly manages the “outside crew” to ensure the cows are always moving to green pastures and receiving high quality care. Teo graduated from Kerman High School in 1992 and is certified for CPR, and certified forklift and tractor operator. In his personal time, he enjoys spending time with his three children and wife, playing soccer, and cooking traditional Mexican food with his large family.
Milking Barn Manager
Hugo's job role is one of the most important in the company: he manages the milkers, ensures quality assurance checklists are completed and compliant, administers all hospital cow treatments and care, collects and manages all fresh cow cultures, and ensures the milk barn facilities are in perfect repair. Hugo also serves as the primary team member for OP’s internal food safety program, RAMP.
Lizbeth has been a part of the Organic Pastures team since 2007. She is the Accounts Payable associate. No job is too big (or too small) for Lizbeth. She has a can-do and willing attitude in all aspects of her job. Lizbeth enjoys connecting with the vendors, raw milk customers, and the employees at the business.
Amanda Steitz, MBA
Accounts Receivable and Safety/Loss Control
Amanda has been a part of the Organic Pastures team since 2007. She holds an undergraduate degree in Business Management and an MBA from the University of Phoenix. She is the Accounts Receivable associate and serves as the Safety/Loss Control Advisor. Amanda enjoys connecting with both the customers and the employees at the business.
CUSTOMER SERVICE Associate
Alexis has been a part of the Organic Pastures team since late 2015. She oversees customer service emails and phone calls, customer orders, assists the Marketing Department, and enjoys helping with our EcoVisit farm tours. Alexis is upbeat, great at multitasking, and is very helpful.
DIGITAL MEDIA PRODUCER
Jason has been a part of the Organic Pastures team since Fall of 2015. He holds a Bachelors of Arts with an emphasis in Visual and Public Art from California State University, Monterey Bay. As the Digital Media Producer, Jason manages all video and photography production/editing. Jason has an excellent eye for capturing the most interesting, beautiful, and exciting moments on the farm. He works within the Marketing Department to help promote, educate, and encourage sales growth through showcasing products, the farm, and all aspects of the business. Jason is energetic, outgoing, always has a smile on his face, and work wonderfully with customers and team members. Even though Jason is the newest OP marketing team member, he has taken the "bull by the horns" and adapted well to learning all about the business and why customers LOVE raw milk so passionately. LOVED dog/ the real boss around the farm
Ruby came to the dairy a few years back. You can watch my full video here. Today, I truly believe that OP was meant to be my home, all along. Any given day, you can find me with my hair waving in the air riding on the RTV around the farm, taking a snooze in the Marketing Department or right in front of the office door. All the employees LOVE me. Most new employees are convinced that they are my favorite, but soon enough they learn that everyone is my buddy. I am full of love and have a deep appreciation for the wonderful life live, every day.
